Diamond & Caldor Railway Bunk Car

This is one of two known intact (restorable) Diamond & Caldor Ry. bunk cars.  It was donated by the Richardson family on Bucks Bar Road and is awaiting restoration.  It will eventually join Shay #4 at the new railroad museum planned by the El Dorado County Museum and the El Dorado Western Railway Foundation.  The bunk cars were used as portable living quarters for logging crews in the woods.
