Parlor Car & Caboose Restoration Project

The Parlor Car and Caboose were acquired from the West Side & Cherry Valley Railroad who built them from old logging flatcars.  Much work needs to be done before they are fit for excursion service.

Restoration Updates and Progress

The Parlor Car is currently being secured for the winter.  Work during the winter will be limited to the interior and windows due to the weather.  Windows are being re-glued, sanded, stained and varnished.

The passenger platforms at both ends have been assessed by an engineer for correction recommendations (they are both slumping).  This work will most likely be done in the spring.

The roof has been secured for the winter.  A local roofing company has volunteered to install the new roof, but with the coming of winter weather, this will have to wait until spring.

Both the Parlor Car and the Caboose have received new paint jobs, Pullman Green and burnt red, respectively.
